Ruff, Margaret Louise (Marriage - 9 May 1964)

Nuptial vows were exchanged in a double ring ceremony Saturday by Miss Margaret Louise Ruff, daughter of Clarence Ruff of Thorp, and James G. Heinzen of Marshfield, son of Mrs. Lila Heinzen of Marshfield.  The nuptial mass took place in St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Thorp. The Rev. Francis Brockman performed the ceremony before an altar adorned with spring flowers.

As the bride approached the altar with her father, she was attired in a floor-length gown of bouquet satin. The bell-shaped skirt was highlighted by re-embroidered appliqué flowers, studded with seed pearls and borealis. A rounded neckline enhanced the fitted Basque bodice. A chapel train, attached to the back of the waist, cascaded in folds to the floor. A shoulder-length bouffant veil of nylon tulle was attached to a crown of seed pearls.  She carried a bridal bouquet of lily-of-the-valley and roses.

Miss Sharon Cepress of Marshfield served as maid-of-honor.  Bridesmaids were Miss Barba Guell of Madison, and Miss Marlene Hanson of Marshfield. They wore floor-length gowns of mint green Dacron and polyester fashioned with controlled skirts. Their bodices were accented with rounded necklines and three-quarter-length sleeves.  Wide cummerbunds at the waist held flowing back panels. Bouquets consisted of baskets of daisies.

Mike Kramer of Milwaukee was best man. Groomsmen were William Ruff of Madison and George Heinzen of Marshfield.  Ushers were Henry Ruff and Ed Hahn.  Charles Senn of Thorp served as junior groomsman and Renee Heinzen of Marshfield was junior bridesmaid.

Four hundred guests attended a reception held in the Thorp Finance building.

The new Mrs. Heinzen is employed in a Marshfield hospital and Mr. Heinzen works in a super market there.

On their return from a weeding trip to the World’s Fair at New York City, Mr. and Mrs. Heinzen will reside at 500 A. N. Wood, Marshfield.

Wedding guests were from Cadott, Boyd, La Crosse, Sheboygan, Chippewa Falls, Milwaukee, Marshfield, Beloit, Bloomer; St. Paul, Minn.; Chicago, Ill., and Anoka, Minn.
