The Sunday school of the Evangelical Lutheran Church will present their Christmas program on Sunday evening, Dec. 17, at 8 o’clock.  All are invited.

 

The Curtiss Community Club will be host to this area on Saturday, Dec. 23, at 2:00 o’clock p.m.  A Christmas tree will be placed near the new municipal building and sacks of candy will be given to the children.

 

Rev. Donald I. Olson tendered his resignation as pastor at the morning service of the Evangelical Lutheran Church effective March 1, 1962.  He expects to prepare for a chaplaincy in the Navy.

 

A nativity scene has been place in the village park and the street decorated for the holiday season.

 

Mrs. Manda Borgemoen returned home on Monday from South Dakota where she had visited her daughter and other relatives for several week.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Art Peissig of Chippewa Falls visited his brother, Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Peissig on Friday evening.

 

Due to the snowstorm all schools in this area were closed Tuesday.

 

Mrs. Henry Peterson spent several days this week at the home of her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Schuette in rural Unity.
