Neillsville Locals (16 April 1964)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Lezotte, Sr., accompanied by Linda Lezotte and Mrs. Ed Francis, attended funeral services recently for Ralph Haberle of Cataract.  Mr. Haberle was a brother of the late Fred Haberle, father of Mrs. Lezotte.

 

Jim Welke of Madison spent a weekend with his family here.

 

Among those attending the opening of the Osseo Community Hospital and Nursing Home Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Ivan W. Lauscher, Mr. and Mrs. P. T. Holum and Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred B. Galstad.

 

Sally Meier, who attends Wisconsin State College in Stevens Point, spent a weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Meier. 

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ben Grottke of Marshfield were weekend guests of her mother, Mrs. Minnie Meske.

 

Mrs. Bertha Stiemke has left for an extended visit with her daughter, Mrs. Ralph Gottschalk and family in St. Petersburg, Fla.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Royce Larsen and family spent a recent weekend with relatives in Waupaca County.

 

Miss Mary Kopp has returned to Milwaukee after spending a week with her grandmothers, Mrs. Eleanore Kipp of Marshfield and Mrs. Marie Keller of Neillsville.

 

Paul Schroeder, who has been working in Chicago, visited his father, Carl Schroeder, one day last week.  He was enroute to his former job in St. Paul, Minn.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ben Schroeder of Madison were weekend guests of relatives in Neillsville.

 

Frank Kuhlman, who suffered a stroke last year, was taken to Fairchild last week, where he is now a resident of a nursing home.

 

Holger Jepsen of Pray is spending several days visiting his son, Eugene Jepsen and family, in Neillsville.  He had spent the winter with his children in Milwaukee and Stoughton, and was brought to Neillsville by Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Dux and family of Stoughton.  Mr. Jepsen plans to spend the summer at his home in Pray.

 

Justice Bruce Beilfuss of Madison was a weekend guest of his mother, Mrs. Elsie Beilfuss.

 

Dr. and Mrs. R. B. Washburn and three friends of Augusta visited Wednesday with Mrs. Washburn’s sister, Mrs. George Zimmerman.
