Mleziva, Mary (5 OCT 1888 - 2 NOV 1961)

Mrs. Wencel "Jim" Mleziva passed away Thursday of last week succumbing to the complications of old age and an illness that had confined her to her bed for nearly two years.  Death came quietly at the Havenet Nursing Home, Owen, where she and her husband have lived since their retirement from their farm in the town of Maplehurst in 1959.

 

A Requiem High Mass was said Saturday morning at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Rev. H.L. Crubel officiating.  Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers at the service included William Warns, John Lesneski, John Greschner and John Greschner Jr, Eugene Mertens and Sam Munson.

 

Born Oct. 5, 1888, Mary Mleziva, nee Mary Korinek, was united in marriage to Mr. Mleziva in 1909 in a ceremony performed at Kellsnerville, Wis.  That same year the couple moved to a farm in the Town of Maplehurst where they made their home until two years ago when her health began to fail rapidly and they retired to the Havenet Nursing Home in Owen.

 

Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Fred (Mildred) Frahman, Athens, Wis.; three sisters, Mrs. Mike (Julia) Yindra and Mrs. (Anna) Remmicker, Maribel, Wis., and Mrs. Emma Dubeck, Manitowoc, Wis.; four brothers, Frank Korinek, Kellsnerville, Wis., Ed Korinek, Milwaukee, Joe Korinek, Menchalville, Wis., and Louis Korinek, Reef Mills, Wis.; one granddaughter, Mrs. Glen Anderson and a great-grandson, Dale Anderson, both of Stratford.
