Robinson, Ferne (1 November 1892 - 21 March 1964)

 

Funeral services were to be held Wednesday afternoon from the United Church for Miss Ferne Robinson, 71, Neillsville, who died Saturday at her home. The Rev. W. C. Koehler was to officiate.  Burial was to be made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Ferne Robinson was born November 1, 1892, in Neillsville. She was the daughter of the late Orlo and Anna (Redmond) Robinson. She attended Neillsville schools and was a member of its 1911 graduating class. She went to work for the telephone company in Sidney, Mont., for a short time, later returning to Neillsville, where she worked for the Badger State Telephone Company until they went to dial phones in 1957.

 

She was a member of the United Church of Christ, the United Women, was a deaconess of the church, a charter member of the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and a member of the Gray Ladies.

 

Miss Robinson is survived by a brother-in-law, Chris Brick of Greenwood, and several cousins.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Mrs. Chris (Hazel) Brick.
