Mrs. Rice Davis, Miss Rosa Viergutz and J.W. Van Fleet spent Thursday at Marshfield.

 

Miss Nellie Gardner of Stratford was a guest at the Kemmeter home between Monday and Thursday.

 

Miss Wilma Hurd of Edgerton is here visiting Mrs. Rush Wentworth since yesterday.

 

Christian Keller came home on Thursday from a week’s visit with his daughter in Chicago.

 

Sheriff Harry Hewett bought a Ford touring car of Knorr & Rausch Wednesday.

 

Wm. Zorn recently purchased A.J. Knorr’s Moline touring car.

 

Mrs. G.E. Amidon came home from a several days pleasure trip to Alma Center, Friday.

 

Mrs. Chas. Sitts is visiting relatives at Loyal since early this week.

 

Mrs. Laura Mason and Mrs. Elizabeth Fuller entertained the Circle ladies Wednesday afternoon and for supper.

 

Mrs. Dan Rausch has spent much of the last three weeks at Nasonville is caring for her mother Mrs. Paulson, who for a time was alarmingly ill, though convalescing nicely now.

 

Mr. and Mrs. H.F. Schlinsog and daughter Violet and Miss Ida Winters were Neillsville visitors Monday.

 

Alvin Reichert transacted business at Chili on Monday.

 

Geo. Nichols transacted business at Marshfield on Monday.

 

Miss Ethel Johnson of Shawano, after an extended visit at her brother A.M. Johnson’s went home on Saturday.

 

Mrs. Hattie Beeckler and her mother, Mrs. Frances Burdick are visiting Clyde Shaw and family at Cornelius Junction since Saturday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Sweeting and son Everett came over from Marshfield last week Thursday and remained until Monday, guests at Henry Lawson’s.

 

Ross Paulson made a business trip to Marshfield Wednesday.

 

Byrl Winn went to Merrillan on Saturday.

 

A Mongoli is painting his house a deep cream.

 

Miss Minnie Altman of Loyal is visiting Miss Edna Kemmeter since Wednesday.

 

Mrs. Geo. Cramer and daughter are home from Viola since Sunday.  They left Mrs. Deaver Lowery recovering after a serious illness.

 

Mrs. Clemens Kuechenmeister and Mrs. F.J. Baer autoed up and spent Friday east of Loyal with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bredlau.

 

Daphne Beeckler, Rachel Cole and Eula Irvine went Chili and spent Tuesday with the former’s sister, Mrs. Clark Waterman.

 

Miss J. Handke of West Bend, after a week’s visit here with her brother Fred and family, left for her home on Tuesday.

 

Mrs. Lue Smith, her sisters, Mrs. Bundy and Mrs. Wilbur, with the latter’s daughters Corinne and Natalie, spent Tuesday in attendance at the Chautaqua at Marshfield.

 

Mrs. John Martin and children are here from Wausau visiting at the John Hiles home since Monday.

 

Mrs. Eugene Crandall, Miss Jessie Morris, Miss Alma Pischer and Dave Garbush were Neillsville visitors on Monday.

 

Vernon Huntley is on a week’s visit at his uncle Wm. Smith’s at Stevens Point since Wednesday.

 

Mrs. Wm. Henning and baby Franklin are here from Eau Claire visiting at the Fred Zille home since Saturday.

 

Ralph Mayhew purchased a Howard piano with dark oak case, from Prof. G.D. Vincent on Monday.

 

Miss Gertie Howard went to Athens Saturday to spend a week at the Mike Hubing home.

 

John Mooney, Paul and Barney Felzer, left for Ledgerwood, N.D. Monday on business bent.

 

Mrs. Paul Hempe and two children of Milwaukee are visiting at the Otto Neitzel home since Saturday.

 

Miss Edna Kemmeter went to Stratford Saturday and made an over Sunday visit among relatives and friends.

 

Miss Genevieve Dyer of Chicago is a guest of her sister, Mrs. Ezra Sherrett.

 

Eula Irvine of Loyal is visting Dapne Beeckler since last week Thursday.

 

Mrs. Andrew Palmer came up from Sycamore, Ill. and joined her husband and two sons here Wednesday.

 

Dr. S.G. Schwarz and his father-in-law, Mr. Perkins were over from Humbird on Tuesday.

 

Knorr & Rausch sold a Ford touring car to H. Silkey of Christie early this week.

 

The show and dance at the Granton Opera House Saturday night will also be assisted in fancy dog dancing.

 

Little Madeline Page, after a months’ visit at the A.W. Hales home, went home to Stanley on Wednesday accompanied by her aunt, Miss Ella Hales.

 

Mrs. Peter Stallman, Mrs. Geo. Fraser and sons Beaufort and Wilbur, Mrs. Henry Lawson and daughter Grace, were among the Granton folk at Marshfield on Wednesday.

 

Mrs. Otis Beardsley and baby Sylvia, after an extended visit with relatives here and in this vicinity, returned home to Norway, Mich. on Monday.

 

Miss Myrtle Cole, Miss Lillie Garbush, Mrs. Otto Garbush, Mrs. G.E. Amidon and W.S. Davis were among the Granton people at Neillsville on Tuesday.

 

Miss Edna Wittke, after a two week visit with her sister Mrs. Gus Reichert, went home to Neillsville on Tuesday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rogers, with thei four daughters, left for Lyndon, Wash. where they expect to take up their residence and remain indefinitely, on Wednesday.

 

Alvin Pischer, Alma Pischer, Viva Drake, Walter Graves, Sarah, Mary and Jean Davis, Fred Zwick, the Misses Mary Grasser, Laura Neitzel, were among the Granton people at Neillsville Saturday.

 

Miss Gertie Croell of Chili, who has been assisting Mrs. John Bladl with her household duties and in the care of the children for several weeks past, accompanied Mrs. Borgeman and baby Irvin Arnold to Chili Wednesday evening.

 

Mrs. Geo. Simmons, a sister of W.J. Thayer’s, after a two week visit between the Thayer home and relatives hereabouts, left on the return to Miles City, Mont. Tuesday morning.

 

Mrs. Joe Plines of Portland, Ore., who had been visiting her sister, Mrs. W.J. Thayer and other relatives hereabouts, left for her home at Portland Sunday.

 

Mrs. Bundy and Mrs. Wilbur, with the latter’s two daughters, Corinne and Natalie of Packwaukee, are guests at the Lue Smith home since last week Thursday.

 

Mrs. John Below, with William Buchholz and his daughter Donna Belle, came up from Chilton and visited at John Dahl’s until Tuesday, when they went home, accompanied by Miss Emma Dahl.

 

Rev. Wolf, who was called to Rockford, Ill. last week Thursday on account of the serious illness of a sister, returned home on Wednesday reprting the siter much improved, temporarily at least.  Rev. Knapp held services hwere Sunday evening in Rev. Wolf’s stead.

 

Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Beeckler, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Neinas, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Rose, Mr. and Mrs. T.D. Wage and Mr. and Mrs. Homer Downer went to Saddle Mound, Prey, etc., blue berrying Friday, and returned Monday, bringing the berries home alright and in great quantities, purchased and picked altogether.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Garvin and baby Levi of Loyal returned home from Spokane, Wash. Tuesday, accompanied by Wilfred Garvin, young lad and son of Fred’s deceased brother John, whose sudden and untimely death from heart failure called him to Spokane some two weeks since.  Mr. and Mrs. Fred Garvin anticipate Milfred remaining with them and taking up his permanent residence with them.

 

Miss Clara Kimball, a nice of Mrs. W.S. Davis  and Miss Emma Kimball is since early in the week, at Mrs. Ernest Rudolph’s, having been married in San Francisco, Calif. to a young man who is attending college and studying journalism.  Mr. Rudolph’s parents reside in one of the Dakotas and the young people met in St. Paul several years ago, since which time they have been sweethearts.  Mr. Rudolph has yet another year of college work before him and their future plans are somewhat indefinite.

 

Mrs. Henry Carter and son, Harold, Mrs. Arlo Huckstead and daughter Doris and Ruth Vine went to Crandon Monday to visit Mr. and Mrs. Fred Vine, Mrs. Arthur Loveless and others.

 

Mrs. Gus Bergeman took baby Bladl to Chili Wednesday and before a large company of relatives and friends of the little one, had him christened Irvin Arnold Bladl.  The little fellow was less than two weeks old.
