Schwarze, Alfred John (28 July 1890 - 20 January 1964)

 

Alfred John Schwarze, 73, lifelong resident of Greenwood, died suddenly of a heart attack, at his home at 4 a.m. Sunday.

 

Funeral services, in charge of the Hill Funeral Home were held Tuesday afternoon from the Zion United Church, with the Rev. Orval Egbert in charge. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

 

Alfred John Schwarze, son of John and Catherine (Ziesel) Schwarze, was born July 28, 1890, in the Town of Warner.

 

He was married May 14, 1919 to Ella H. Wessel in the Town of Longwood. They lived on their farm four miles northwest of Greenwood until they retired and moved into Greenwood in 1948.

 

Mr. Schwarze, who was a veteran of World War I, was a member of the Wallis-Hinker Legion Post, No. 238, and also a member of Zion United Church. 

 

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Irwin (Irma) Kessler of Waukesha; a son, Elroy, of Arpin; a brother, Arthur Schwarze of Greenwood; and five grandchildren.
