Osborn, Roy (26 SEPT 1940-27 NOV 2011)

 

Roy J. Osborn, 71, Marshfield, died on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, Dec. 1, at Hansen-Shilling Funeral Home, Marshfield. Rev. Devere Thornton will officiate. Interment will be in the town of Lynn cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, Marshfield and again from 9:30 a.m., until the time of service time on Dec. 1.

 

Roy Osborn was born on Sept. 16, 1940, in the town of Corydon, Iowa, to Roy and Iowa Blanch (nee Snodgrass) Osborn. He attended Nevada High School in Nevada, Iowa. He worked as a bottled milk hauler for Americaan-Erickson Dairy, Nevada, Iowa, and a meat cutter for Kohl’a Food Stores and Piggly Wiggly Stores in Neenah. He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting when he wasn’t working.

 

Survivors include one son, Rick (Shelby) Osborn, Granton; four grandchildren, Crystal Kopf, Marshfield, Jeffrey (Sarah) Osborn, Athens, Jodi (Mark) Osbeck, Cambridge, England, and James Osborn, Newport News, Va.; four great-grandchildren, Katelynn, Nathan, Ryan and Emily Osborn; and one sister, Norma, Barclay, Forest City, Iowa. In addition to hs parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Diana (Osborn) Kopf; four brothers; and three sisters. A special thanks to the Marshfield Ambulance Service and the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their special care of Dad.
