Pomputis, Lisa Kay (17 SEP 1960 - 28 NOV 2011)

 

Lisa Kay Pomputis, 51, was born into eternal life Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2011. She died peacefully at home with her family at her side and under the tender care of Ministry Home Care Hospice. 

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2011, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen. The Rev. Dan Hackel will officiate. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery, with Lisa's siblings serving as pallbearers. 

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen, and one hour prior to service time at the church on Friday. 

Lisa was born Sept. 17, 1960, in Owen, the daughter of Ronald and Millie (Auberg) Gehrke. Lisa was a graduate of Owen-Withee High School, class of 1978. 

The former Lisa Gehrke was united in marriage to Kim Pomputis on June 7, 1980 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Lisa worked for a time at Mid-State Hydraulics in Owen before accepting a position with the Clark County Health Care Center in 1984. Lisa was currently an administrative office assistant at the Clark County Health Care Center.

Her family was the focus of her life and she cherished the time she could spend with her grandchildren. 

Lisa and Kim followed their children's sporting events wherever they played. 

Lisa also enjoyed crocheting, reading and long walks. 

She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen. 

Lisa is lovingly survived by her husband, Kim Pomputis, Withee; children, Heather (Justin) Mueller, Owen, Jake (Jackie Seidel) Pomputis, Farmington, Minn., and Zack Pomputis of Menomonie; and two grandchildren, Kendall and Talon Mueller. 

She is further survived by her mother, Millie (Everett) Lindgren, Owen; brothers, Brian (Peg) Gehrke, Marshfield, and Gary (Mellissa) Gehrke, Owen; sisters, Julie (Paul) Johnson, Palatka, Fla., and Beth (Mike) Mazzoni, Brookfield.

Her father, Ronald Gehrke preceded her in death.
