Kapusta, John Charles (6 August 1947 –12 October 2011)

John Charles Kapusta, 64, of Saint Paul, MN, died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, in his home.

John was born Aug. 6, 1947, in Neillsville, to Andrew and Irene (Selves) Kapusta.  He had many different jobs in the food industry, from managing a restaurant to his final job as a chef for Axel’s of Mendota Heights, who were very good to him.

John had a love for gardening, which was displayed in the many gardens he had around the apartment he rented. The current owner related he bought the house because of the beautiful gardens.  John loved spending time with his family, and he will be truly missed.

He is survived by his beloved cat Wilma and his brothers, Frank (Ann) Kapusta of Sequin, TX, Martin (Gerald) Boren of Bee Branch, AK, Scot (Janet) Kapusta of Neillsville; one sister, Bessie (Frank) Jensen of Cadott; and numerous nieces and nephews that will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by one brother in infancy; his parents; and a nephew, Eric Jensen.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 5, at Living Hope Church, Neillsville, with Pastor Steve Wentz officiating and music provided by Kathy Meshnick.  Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
