Carter, Glenn (? - 31 AUG 1958)

 

Glenn Carter passed away Sunday, Aug. 31, 1958 at the Dallas Co. Hospital in Perry, Iowa.  He was a resident of the Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) community from 1922 until 1947, and for many years operated Carter’s Hatchery, ¾ mile south of Thorp.

 

He is survived by his wife, two sons, Dr. Gene Carter of Berkeley, Calif., and Robert of Spokane, Wash.; one daughter, Fern (Mrs. John Latta) of Orient, Iowa; and eight grandchildren: Connie Carter of Berkeley; Kenneth, Linda, Karen and Peggy Carter of Spokane; Jimmy, Larry, and David of Orient.

 

Funeral services were held at First Methodist Church in Perry Sept. 2, conducted by Rev. Arlie Krussell.  Among the pallbearers was Charles Henkins of Stanley.

 

Memorial gifts are being accepted for multiple sclerosis research.
