Schendel, Anna (16 October 1880 - 23 March 1963)

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Emil Schendel, 82, of Rt. 1 Greenwood, were held Tuesday from Trinity Lutheran Church, Greenwood. The Rev. Daniel Zielske officiated. Burial was made in South Ridge Cemetery, Wilton. 

Mrs. Schendel died Saturday in Neillsville.

 

The former Anna Witt was born October 16, 1880, in Wilton, the daughter of the late August and Emelia (Popp) Witt.  Following her marriage to Emil Schendel on March 16, 1899, they lived in Wilton and in 1925 came to Clark County, locating on a farm near Greenwood. In 1947, Mr. and Mrs. Schendel moved to Neillsville, where they resided until 1960, when they returned to the farm to be with their son and his family.

 

Mrs. Schendel is survived by the following children: Henry of Chandler, Ariz., Leo of Tomah, Edwin of Merrill, Mrs. Roman (Irene) Pschiedt of Glendale, Ariz., Mrs. C. S. (Florence) Schneider of Wauwatosa, and Herbert of Greenwood; a sister, Mrs. Martha Schendel of Wilton; three brothers, Emil Witt in the Veterans Hospital at Madison, Otto Witt of Ontario and Herbert Witt of Kendall; twelve grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

 

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Greenwood.

 

Funeral arrangements wee made by the Georgas Funeral Home.
