Johns, Elizabeth (1 MAY 1884 - 17 JUN 1958)

 

Mrs. Elizabeth Johns, 74, died at Victory Hospital Tuesday, June 17th, 1958, after a lingering illness.

 

Mrs. Johns was born in Morrison, Wis., May 1, 1884, the daughter of Joseph and Emma Rank.  She moved to Boyd with her parents when a small child.  Her marriage to William Johns took place in Boyd on Sept. 5, 1907, and they lived in Chippewa Falls for a few years, then returned to Boyd.  In 1930 they moved to Stanley.

 

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Stanley, and of the Gold Star Mothers.

 

Surviving are her husband; two sons, Sgt. Clarence Johns, Fort Sheridan, Ill., and William Johns Jr. of Wausau; three daughters, Mrs. John Johnson, Eveleth, Minn., Mrs. Ed Fandry, Stanley, Mrs. John Polinski, Chippewa Falls; five brothers, George of Stanley, Joseph of Boyd, Jack of Holcombe, Barney of South Dakota, and William of the state of Oregon; two sisters, Mrs. Ray Maxiner, Mellen, Wis., and Mrs. George Brown, Boyd; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren
