Lato, Alice (18 DEC 1924 - 4 JUN 1958)

 

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Hedwig’s Church for Mrs. John (Alice) Lato, 34, who lost her life Wednesday evening, June 4th, 1958, when a tornado destroyed all of the buildings on the Lato farm about four miles southeast of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) in the Town of Reseburg.  The Rev. Francis Piekarski officiated.

 

The former Alice Klimick was born Dec. 18, 1924 and received her education in schools at Cadott and Thorp.  She was united in marriage to John Lato on June 25, 1954 at Thorp.

 

Besides her husband and parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Klimick of Abbotsford, she is survived by four brothers, Carl of Milwaukee, Adrian of Gilman, Alan of Denver, Colo., and Jack in the armed services; four sisters, Delia and Kathryn Klimick of Milwaukee, Ethel Klimick of Marshfield and Ruth, Mrs. Anton Plechacek, of Thorp.

 

Interment took place at New St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Robert and Donald Zukowski, Victor Romanowicz, Leon Nowobielski, Stanley Ariszewski and George Lobacz.
