Washburn (10 January 1963)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Spiegel will entertain the Washburn Homemakers Club today (Thursday), with dinner served at noon.  Mrs. Elmer Kapfer will present the project, "Getting Ready for Future Years." She attended the project meeting at Loyal Friday.

 

Mrs. Ralph Short will entertain the Cannonville Ladies Aid January 17 with dinner served at noon.

 

Mrs. Christ Feutz entertained the Birthday Club last Thursday with Mrs. William Tullis as assistant hostess. Bunco was the entertainment, followed by a lunch.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Kuhn and Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Williams attended a farewell party Saturday night for Earl Hand, Dells Dam, who has been fieldman for Pure Milk Products Association for many years. He is retiring.  Several members and officers planned the party in his honor at his home. 

 

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Havlicek, Sr., spent New Year’s Eve at the Ralph Short home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Don Feuerhelm and family of Hokah, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. John Reinart and family and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Dahnert were entertained Sunday at the Don Syth home in Eau Claire.

 

Mrs. Chris Feutz spent Saturday afternoon at the Bruce Spiegel home and helped their son, Joe, celebrate his fourth birthday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Don Stewart and family and Mrs. Frank Stewart of Verona spent the weekend at the Ralph Short home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Roger Williams of Lake Geneva spent New Year’s Day with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Williams and family.  They all were dinner guests at the William Poler home and also called at the Bob Poler home.  David St. John and friend, Miss Joanne Schutte, also of Lake Geneva, accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Williams and visited their parents for the day.

 

Mrs. Claude Kyle and son, Lawrence, spent the weekend of December 30th with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Misovy and son in Milwaukee.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ole Skretteberg were New Year’s dinner guests at the Ralph Short home.
