The writer wishes to correct a mistake that appeared in my items last week.  It was that Mrs. Henry Yankee that went to Marshfield to undergo an operation on her limb for a cancerous growth, instead of Mrs. Henry Marg, the latter being well and hearty.

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Sternitzky and Mrs. Mary Williams were suddenly called to Marshfield last week on account of the death of Mr. John Rausch.

The youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Thompson has been quite sick.

Mrs. F.A. Downing of Dexterville was the guest of Mrs. R.T. Washburn last week.

Rudolph Jackisch from South Stillwater was visiting relatives here the fore part of the week.

One day last week when the wind blew a terrific gale, a number of casualties took place in our quiet town.  W. Sterntizky’s wind mill blew over, and E.F. Brooks’ straw stack blew over and killed a young heifer.  Wm. Thompson, section foreman, met with an accident of the hand car jumping the track when going at full speed, throwing the men and breaking the car.

Last Sat. Ferdinand Helm came very near losing his hand while working in the heading mill.  His hand was badly cut on a saw.

Mrs. R.T. Washburn and daughter Hazel visited friends in Dexterville this week.

Dr. Schultz was called to Lindsey to assist the Lindsey doctor in an operation for tumors on Miss Cary Tremelling’s neck last Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Marg, with household goods, left Monday and will live on Mr. Marg’s father’s farm this summer.  We wish them success.
