Chili (22 April 1910)

Otto Walter moved out of the Chas. Lindow house and Chas. Lindow moved into it this week.

Every day is a busy day for Chili if the weather is not too stormy like it was last Saturday, when winter and spring had a very hard fight. Spring finally won out.

Miss Hulda Schoengarth is visiting at Degener’s at present.

Mrs. Elmer Bailey and children left for Aberdeen, S. D., where Mr. Bailey holds a good paying position.

Three families, new settlers arrived Thursday night.  These are the parities that bought the Downer and L. M. Smith farms.

A. Degener received a carload of feed this week.

At a meeting of the citizens last Wednesday it was decided to celebrate Memorial Day this year.  The necessary committees were appointed and if the weather is favorable, the celebration will be even better than last year.

H. Montag made a call on his parents Sunday.  He returned Monday morning.

Al Snow shipped out part of a car of lambs, hogs, and cattle, Tuesday morning.

The Granton High School will present "A Case of Suspension" at Chili Friday evening, April 29th.  It is a comedy of school life in two acts.
