Jeras, Margaret (18 FEB 1923=09 JULY 2011)

 

Margaret "Margie" Jeras, 88, Owen, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2011, at the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to funeral services at 11 a.m., on Thursday, July 14, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard. Burila will follow.

 

She was born on Feb. 18, 1923, in Genisee Depot, and moved with her family to Willard to farm. She attended school in Willard and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She met Anton Jeras Sr. in Willard and they married in 1945. They continued to farm until 1957 when they moved the family to Milwaukee area to work. Eventually they retired to warmer weather in Apache Junction, Ariz. In 2007, she moved to Clark County Health Care Center to be near family and old friends.

 

She is survived by her children, Tony Jr., Greenwood, Bob, Westcliffe, Colo., George, Chandler, Ariz., JoAnn, Denver, Colo., Jean, Mesa Ariz., and Chuck (JoAnn) Klotz, Brookfield; a sister, Betty Fraid; a brother, Anton Volovsek; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anton Jeras Sr., in 2000.

 

Donations in her memory may be made to the Clark County Health Care Center Memory Garden.

 

The Thorp Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
