Romadka (11 March 1910)

Our school will be closed for a couple months vacation.

Fred Frank and Horace Canfield returned home from Park Falls last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Dubes returned from the Eisnages place to the old farm last week to stay.

Mr. Charles Sanger who came here last week visiting the Fred Garbisch home and neighbors left for his home Rockham, South Dakota, on Friday.

A surprise party was given Saturday night to Horace Canfield and Fred Frank at the Jud Canfield home.  All who were present report a dandy time.  Mrs. J. Canfield represented herself as a good hostess, under her care the table was set and good things were spread that would fill a Dutchman’s heart with joy and happiness.   After supper games were played and all had bushels of fun. It was early in the morning when the last guest departed.

5 short rings will call Delbert Latamore any old time; try it once.

A princess was born to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schlinsog, Saturday.  Mother and babe are doing nicely at this writing.

Fred Scholz returned home from the G. Bertschinger place where he was working all winter.

Fred Garbisch spent Sunday eve at Art Johnson’s.

Gustave Kaddatz is a man who does things right.  He came over from the county line with Mrs. Herman Grobe and children and his sister Elsie to take in the party at J. Canfield’s.

42 is the lucky number.  Herman Garbisch, the winner, gets the dinner set.

Fred Strey and wife spent Tuesday at home on the Ridge.
