Kurth (18 February 1910)

George Simon of Chicago has been visiting his uncle Wm. Schoengarth the past week.

Herman Scharf had a stone bee Friday.

Beaver deputy Woodworth and wife of Neillsville called on Fred Kier’s, Sunday.

August Kraus is on the sick list.

The Misses Schoengarth and Mr. Simon drove to Geo. Reindel’s Sunday.

Early one morning last week we heard the sound of an ax and someone singing "We’ll have a cottage just for two."  Later we heard that Adolph Foemmel of Chili had that day been cutting wood somewhere northwest of the school house.  We’re guessing!

Carl Loeffler bought a load of pine stumps of F. Kier Monday.  He says they make fine kindling wood and Fred has lots more for sale.

Emma Kelpin spent a few days of last week with her sister Mrs. Schueler on the Ridge.

Will Duege was seen on our streets Friday.

Dave Hiller was on our streets Monday hauling a load of grain to the station.

Fred Davis of Granton has been scaling logs at the station.

Herman Gluch is taking lessons in cheese making at the Tucker factory.  Well Herman you’ve chosen a good place at which to learn.  Do your best!
