East Grant (28 January 1910)

Quite a rain storm visited us Wednesday morning which turned into a snow storm in the afternoon.

Mrs. R. Anding and Elsie Breseman came down from Altoona Saturday for a visit under the parental roof. The latter returned Tuesday to resume her duties at Smith’s boarding house while Lena will remain here for an indefinite time among friends and relatives.

There was a birthday party at Gus Beilke’s last Tuesday evening in honor of their son Harry.

Roscoe Mellen sold his gray horse to Ross Paulson one day last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Dave Garbisch, Mr. and Mrs. Beilke, Mr. and Mrs. Winter, Mr. and Mrs. Byrl Kidd and Mr. and Mr. R. W. Mellen were among the many that enjoyed a pleasant evening at Breseman’s Sunday.

Ida Winter returned home from Abbotsford Tuesday where she has been visiting friends and relatives.

Roscoe Mellen and wife spent Sunday at Mott Osgood’s.
