Shortville (28 January 1910)

 

Mr. and Mrs. John Short spent Sunday with their daughter Mrs. A. Toptine.

 

Miss Anna Dyer was called to Eldorado, Wisconsin, Saturday evening to nurse her sister who is very ill.

 

Norman Schroeder is on the sick list.

 

Mr. George McDermott of Milwaukee made a several days visit at Ezra Sharratt’s.

 

John Southards of Neillsville visited friends here Sunday.

 

Darvin Wallace spent Sunday under the parental roof.

 

The entertainment given last Saturday evening in the town hall was well attended and a good time enjoyed by all.  After the program was given the ladies’ baskets were sold and the total proceeds amounted to about fifty four dollars.

 

Ed Schroeder and C. C. Beebe took cattle to Granton Monday.

 

Henry Williams was seen on our streets last Thursday.

 

August Nickel made a business trip to Neillsville Monday.

 

The Shortville Dairy Company are putting up ice this week.

 

Avery Wallace returned to Alma Center Monday, after spending several days here with his family.

 

Anyone desiring a nice family of cats call at Ed Schroeder’s farm
