Neillsville Locals (22 November 1962)

 

Henry Becker, Neillsville, became seriously ill Wednesday morning and was taken to Memorial Hospital.

 

John and Tony Adamec of Madison, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sojka, Sr., of Pittsville and Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Genteman and son of Neillsville visited at the Anton Adamec home during the Thanksgiving vacation.

 

Lee Keller of St. Paul plans to spend Thanksgiving with his mother, Mrs. Ruth Keller.

 

Franz Meer of Thiensville is spending several days at the Carl Gerold Cottage at Rock Dam.

 

Ronnie Seybolt spent last weekend at his home in Friendship, and plans to spend Thanksgiving there.

 

Merlin Horswill of Milwaukee visited last Thursday at the R. M. Horswill home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Garald Hart plan to entertain Thanksgiving Day at dinner, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hart and daughters, Jane and Jill, of the Town  of Grant, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Burr and family, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bedell and family, all of Neillsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Elton Imig of Weston.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Roland Evanson and family of Mosinee spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Evanson.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Heuer, Marc and Kurt, of Janesville plan to spend Thanksgiving with Mrs. Helen C. Smith.  Miss May Towers of Marshfield was a weekend guest at the Smith home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Tim Dunn and Rhonda of Racine were weekend guests at the Harry Carl home and visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Dunn, in Greenwood.

 

Mrs. Jessie Richmond was taken to the Marshfield hospital Friday. She is expected to undergo surgery.

 

Scott Melvin and three friends of La Farge called Saturday evening at the Harry Carl home.

 

Guests this week at the Nick Scherer home were Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Malone and family of Milwaukee.

 

Mrs. Hannah Bohnsack went Monday to Fond du Lac to spend Thanksgiving with her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Hopka, and her family.  Saturday Mrs. Bohnsack will attend the wedding of her granddaughter.

 

Mrs. Carl Elmer and daughter, Marcella, of St. Paul, Minn., spent last week with Mrs. Elmer’s mother, Mrs. Ole Larsen.  Marcella recently returned from a European trip.  She visited relatives in Denmark and was a guest of Mrs. Larsen’s brother.  She showed slides at the Larsen home of Mrs. Larsen’s brother and his home.  It has been 50 years since Mrs. Larsen last saw her brother.

 

The Rev. Richard Bonney and four hunting companions from Cascade were weekend guests at the Kenneth Bonney, Sr., home.
