Ringrose, George (9 FEB 1865 - 25 NOV 1946)

 

George Ringrose was born Feb. 9, 1865 and passed away Nov. 25, 1946, at the age of 81 years, 9 months and 16 days.  He was the second son of Joseph and Jane Ringrose, and was born on the old family homestead in Garden Valley (Jackson Co., Wis.), near where he spent the greater part of his life.  The past twenty-seven years was spent in his home in Black River Falls, where he passed away.

 

On Jan. 29, 1902 he was united in marriage with Mary Reichenbach, who preceded him in death Sept. 1, 1934.

 

As a pioneer he spent many years in the logging woods, with tam, and was was also employed in building railroads extending into Iowa.

 

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Ness Chapel in B.R. Falls, Rev. Raymond P. Huss officiating.  Interment was in Riverside Cemetery.

 

He leaves three brothers and two sisters, Joseph of Portland, Ore.; Frank and Evelyn of Alma Center; Will of Humbird; and Nellie, Mrs. Ed Leiser of Baraboo.  Two brothers, Eddie, aged 7 years, and Charles E., and one sister, Lillie, Mrs. W.L. Pattridge, preceded him in death.
