Granton (28 May 1914)

 

Sam Gerlach, an old resident of the town of Grant, who suffered from a stroke of paralysis some two weeks ago, passed away Monday, May 26th.

 

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Benja Joern a baby girl, May 25th.

 

Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Tompkins returned Monday from their trip to Rhinelander when they went to visit their son Robert and family.

 

Mrs. J.J. Wright and Vet Marsh spent Sunday with friends at Humbird.

 

Bryl Winn and Miss Lela Potter spent Sunday at Warrens.

 

Mrs. Jim Finnegan entertained some 35 ladies at a Side Walk party Saturday p.m.

 

August Lautenback’s mill was totally destroyed by fire Saturday morning.  No insurance.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Clark Waterman spent Sunday at the E.A. Beeckler home.
