Geiger, Irving (November 7, 1919 - July 2, 2011)


Irving Geiger, age 91, of Dorchester, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011, at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

 

Irving was born November 7, 1919 to Joseph and Minnie (Wittman) Geiger in the town of Mayville. 

 

He worked for Strecko Doors in Abbotsford. Irving was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Hen enjoyed taking photographs, dancing and traveling.

 

Irving was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Isabelle Kauer and Adeline Heindl; and his brothers, Bernard, Clarence, Arthur and Sylvester Geiger. 


A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2011, at St. Louis Catholic Church.

Father Daniel Hackel will officiate. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow the service at Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.

 

Memorial contributions will be donated to local nonprofit organizations.


The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Dorchester is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
