Officiant at the wedding of Jayne Marie Rueth and LaVern Michael Kolbeck on July 4 was the Rev. Norbert King. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Rueth, Loyal, route one, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Kolbeck, Stratford, route three, exchanged nuptial vows in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal.

 

The bride’s attendants were Miss Dorothy Scholzman, Pittsville, the maid of honor, and Miss Diane Kolbeck, Auburndale, route one, a cousin of the groom, Miss Annette Hannon, Waupun, and Miss Jeri Kolbeck, Milwaukee, a sister of the groom, bridesmaids.

 

The bride’s floor length gown of embroidered lace had a skirt of nylon ruffled net, and an overskirt of scroll design lace of the bodice, which had a sweetheart nechline and long tapering sleeves.

 

Her nylon tulle finger-tip veil was held by sequin and pearl trimmed cap which extended to a point in the back. She wore a white pearl necklace with matching earrings and carried a white streamer tied, bouquet of roses, carnations and stephanotis.

 

Miss Scholzen wore a dress of embroidered blue nylon lace. A lace peplum extended down the sides of the skirt which was of blue taffeta with an overskirt of double nylon net. Short sleeves and a V neckline featured the bodice. Her flowers were blue carnations and stephanotis.

 

The bridesmaids, the Misses Kolbeck, Miss Hannon wore gowns styled similarly with the maid of honor’s and all wore identically styled head pieces of pearl and velvet halos draped with a nylon face veil trimmed with pearls.

 

The groom’s brother, Lyle Kolbeck of Stratford, was best man. Patrick Rueth, Loyal, brother of the bride, Norbert Meyers, Marshfield, and Bill Best, Milwaukee, were groomsmen. The ushers were Chub Rueth, Loyal, Brother of the bride, and Jerome Kolbeck, Stratford, brother of the groom.

 

The junior attendants were Kay Kolbeck, Marshfield, a cousin of the groom, who was flower girl, and David Gleichaner, Beloit, a nephew of the bride, who carried the rings for the double ring ceremony.

 

The flower girl wore a floor-length dress of white taffeta with an overskirt of ruffled nylon net. A collar was attached in the low,, round neckline. The sleeves were short.

 

The bride’s mother wore a rose dress with white accessories, and a black dress with white accessories was worn by the mother of the groom.

 

Breakfast and a reception were held at the home of the bride and dinner and supper were served to 250 guests at St. Anthony’s hall.

 

The bride has been employed in the Medical Record Library at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. She is a graduate of the Loyal High School. Her husband, a graduate of the Marshfield Senior High School, took a short course at Madison. He spent two years in service and is now self-employed as a road construction trucker.

 

The couple spent their honeymoon at Lac du Flambeau.
