Zerbel, Lewis R. (28 SEP 1879 - 27 FEB 1946)

 

Lewis R. Zerbel died at a Madison hospital Feb. 27th, 1946, after a short illness.  He had been ill since Feb. 11, but was at the hospital only one day.  Funeral services were held at the Luther Memorial Church in Madison, of which he was a member, last Saturday afternoon, and burial was in Forest Hill Cemetery of that city.

 

Lewis, son of Herman and Dora Zerbel, was born Sept. 28, 1879, in Honey Creek, Sauk County.  He attained the age of 66 years and 6 months.  For the past forty-one years he was connected with the university farm at Madison.

 

Surviving are his wife, three sons, two daughters, and four grandchildren.  He is also survived by two brothers, Paul of Humbird and Martin of Madison, and two sisters, Mrs. Ella Zimmerman of Black River Falls and Mrs. Anna Accola of Prairie du Sac.

 

Those from here attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Zerbel, Miss Lorraine Zerbel, Mr. and Mrs. Laverne Kaufman, and Mr. and Mrs. R.H. Zimmer, of B.R. Falls.
