Granton Area (4 October 1962)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Thiede and family visited his brother, Bill Thiede and family, in La Crosse.

 

Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Witte were weekend guests at the Fred Schindler home in Pepin.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Trimberger, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Olaf Botnen of Neillsville, spent the weekend fishing near Birchwood.

 

Lloyd Spry and his brother, Phelps, of Chili, and William Schmidtke were in Eau Claire last week Wednesday where they attended the selling of the F. H. A. (F. F. A.) boys’ livestock.

 

Mrs. Charles Guk returned home Sunday after spending several months with her daughters in Milwaukee, Capron, Ill., and Chicago, Ill.  She was brought home by Mr. and Mrs. George Engstrom, who are spending several days with her mother.

 

Norman Braatz returned home Saturday from an Eau Claire hospital, where he has undergone surgery and had received therapy treatments on his left hand.  He had been a hospital patient at several intervals since June 4.
