Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Nelson visited at Hixton and Alma Center Sunday.

 

Miss Lillian Peterson spent the week end with friends at Eau Claire.

 

Mrs. Nels Premeau of Stetsonville called at the LeClaire home Saturday. 

 

Mrs. Harry Demand was called to the Marshfield hospital on account of the illness of her brother, Adolph Fricke of Colby, who underwent a serious operation there Friday. 

 

Mrs. Frank Kramer received word Tuesday of the death of her sister, Mrs. McAllister at Seattle, Wash. 

 

Mr. and Mrs. Chas Hoffman visited relatives at Knowlton Sunday. 

 

Mrs. Wm. Roth of Colby spent Tuesday at the J. E. Minshall home. 

 

Dr. and Mrs. LeGault of Owen were Abbotsford callers Saturday evening. 

 

Mrs. Joe Schefsick of Chippewa Falls is visiting her mother Mrs. Meteofsky this week. 

 

Several people from here were entertained at the Robt. Helda home at Chippewa Falls Sunday. 

 

Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Thompson were Medford visitors Sunday. 

 

Mr. and Mrs. George Papenfuss were at Marshfield Monday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Blazer are visiting relatives at Withee this week. 

 

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fults and son Arthur visited relatives at Osseo Sunday.

 

Mrs. Arthur Held of Athens, was a visitor at the C.H. Luhrsen home Monday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. W. Scheft of Colby called at the Ed. Jolivette home Sunday. 

 

Mrs. Earl Whaples of Owen was an Abbotsford visitor Wednesday afternoon.

 

Mrs. Louis Hallada of Two Rivers is visiting her sister Mrs. Ed Princel this week.

 

Mrs. Ted Broeren and children of Medford visited relatives her Wednesday.

 

Mrs. and Mrs. H. L. Gering of Fairchild spent Sunday at the P. W. Bird home. 

 

Hazel and Ruth Ingersoll, Florene Hutt and Joyce Berry were at Marshfield Monday. 

 

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fults and Mir and Mrs. James Fultz were at Gilman Wednesday. 

 

Maurice Thompson and Arvid Carlson made a business trip to Milwaukee Thursday.

 

The Woman’s Club will meet at the home of Mrs. F. B. Wing next Friday, Jan. 23rd

 

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Jackson and daughter Francis spent Sunday and Monday at Neenah.

 

Robt. Tishendorf and son Lloyd of Minocqua visited at the Albert Nelson home Monday. 

 

John Thompson son of Mrs. Mary Thompson is confined at home with inflammatory rheumatism. 

 

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Gibson and son Roy and Edwin Fults visited relatives at Mosinee Sunday. 

 

Mr. and Mrs. X. Archambo attended the funeral of Ed. Austin at Medford Monday afternoon. 

 

Mrs. Ed Kelly and daughter of Seattle, Wash., are visiting her mother, Mr. and Mrs. C. Smith.

 

Ed. Jolivette drove to Greenwood Friday bring his parents back with him to visit for a few days. 

 

Mrs. Ervin Bitters and son of Janesville are visiting at the Weetz and Bitters homes in Abbotsford. 

 

The Catholic Ladies Aid gave a surprise party on Mr. Peter Dolan at her home Thursday afternoon. 

 

Mrs. E. Kelly and Daughter of Seattle, Wash., left for Ashland Monday where they will visit their sister for two weeks. 

 

Mrs. Joe Kleuttner was taken to the Chippewa Falls hospital Saturday where she underwent an operation for appendicitis. 

 

Mrs. G. B. Johnston, Mrs. Harry Treat, Mrs. Chas. Bland and Mrs. Olson attended the funeral of Ed. Austin at Medford Monday. 

 

Mrs. Louis Weideman returned home Tuesday from Menominee where she has been caring for her sister the past two weeks. 

 

Raymond Cendt, Morris Mantor and Lucille and Florence Nagel were entertained at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Goelden Sunday.

 

Mrs. Luella Callahan and Eunice and Leone Nelson left Thursday for Chicago after attending the funeral of their father John Berry. 

 

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Daley drove to Tomahawk to spend the week end, returning Sunday with Mrs. Daley’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lamar.

 

Word was received from Harold Hoffman that he reached Tuscan, Arizona, Friday and will remain there about two weeks. He says the weather is fine but he hasn’t seen any roses yet.
