Putman, Margaret (30 NOV 1945)

 

In a double ring ceremony performed by the Rev. R.C. Donaldson of the First Presbyterian Church of Omro, Friday evening, Nov. 30, 1945, Miss Margaret Putman, daughter of Mrs. Clara Putman, because the bride of Mr. George Hunter of Pickett.  The ceremony took place at the home of the bride’s sister, Mrs. O.G. McSchooler, Omro, in the presence of the immediate families and close friends.  The bridal party stood before a candlelit altar decorated in pink and blue.  Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Lamb, sister and brother-in-law of the bride, were the attendants.

 

The bride was attired in a teal blue suit with a white blouse, a gold hat and gold accessories.  Her corsage was of roses.  The bridesmaid wore a black two piece street length dress, trimmed white, and her corsage was roses.  The bride’s mother wore a crepe dress and a corsage of roses.

 

Miss Bernadine Sainsbury, niece of the bride, played the wedding numbers.

 

Out of town guests were the bride’s mother, Mrs. Clara Putman; Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Lamb and family, Miss Bernadine Sainsbury, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Putman and family, Mr. Joseph Putman and Jerry; all of Janesville; Mr. and Mrs. John Putman and daughter, Borth; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Reishn, Neenah; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hunter, Russell, Rob.. (The rest of this article was on a column that I did not have a copy of)
