Jenkins, Kathleen (30 SEP 1945)

Miss Kathleen Jenkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Jenkins, Red Wing, became the bride of Staff Sergeant Kenneth Nibbe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Nibbe, Red Wing, at a ceremony solemnized at the First Lutheran Church Parsonage at Fort Smith, Ark., Sunday, Sept. 30, 1945.  Rev. A.H. Schluf read the single ring ceremony at 4 o’clock.

 

The bride chose a brown pin stripe suit with white and brown accessories and a corsage of gardenias and roses for her marriage.

 

Miss Nezema Shoffey of Ft. Smith attended the bride as maid of honor, attired in gold suit with black accessories and a corsage of yellow tea roses.

 

Pfc. Paul D. Slusser of Bloomburg, Pa., attended the bridegroom.

 

The wedding dinner was served at the Ward Hotel at 6 o’clock for the bridal party and immediate friends.

 

The bride is a graduate of the Red Wing High School and has been employed at the Red Wing Shoe Co.  The bridegroom was graduated from Humbird (Clark Co.), Wis. High School, and recently returned from overseas duty in Europe.

 

Lt. and Mrs. Richard Peters of Red Wing were present at the wedding.
