Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Roy Pipkorn who were married in a 9:30 o’clock nuptial ceremony Saturday morning, June 2, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield are now at home on Unity, route one. The Rev. Lawrence H. Timmerman officiated at the ceremony and was the celebrant of the Nuptial High Mass which followed. Parents of the bride, the former Darlene Yvonne Ledger, are Mr. and Mrs. Roland Ledger, 912 S. Cedar Ave. and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Pip[korn, Unity, are the groom’s parents.

 

Net over satin was used to fashion the bridal gown which had lace panels inserts in the bouffant skirt. Her illusion veil was caught in a matching headpiece, and she carried an orchid on a white prayer book.

 

Matron of honor for her sister was Mrs. Joseph Roth, River Grove, Illinois, who wore a mint green dress of lace and net over taffeta. She carried a basket of yellow and white mums. The two bridesmaids, Miss Joyce Ann Ledger, Milwaukee, the bride’s sister, and Miss Shirley Pipkorn, Unity, the groom’s sister, were gowned in dresses identical to the one worn by the maid of honor, and they carried, and they carried baskets of yellow and white flowers.

 

Roy Pipkorn, Jr., Unity, the groom’s brother, was the best man and Donald and Robert Ledger, brothers of the bride, Marshfield, escorted the bridesmaids. Ushers were cousins of the bride from Marshfield, Jerry and James Ledger.

 

A niece of the bride, Cathy Ledger, Janesville, wore a white net over taffeta dress with a matching headpiece in her role as flower girl. Terry Michael Rand, Chili, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.

 

The bridal party was served breakfast at the home of the bride’s parents,and a reception was held there later. Dinner was served in the Sacred Heart parish hall, and in the evening a dance was held in the Riverview Ballroom, Stratford.

 

The groom received his education at the Loyal High School, and  bride was a 1954 graduate of Columbus High School.

 

Out-of-town persons attending the wedding came from River Grove, Hindale, Chicago and Bensenville, Illinois; Minneapolis, Minn.;  and Loyal, Chili, Milwaukee, Riplinger, Abbotsford, Wisconsin Rapids and Spencer.
