Johnson, Maggie (23 September 1880 - 24 August 1962)

 

Funeral services were conducted Monday from the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton for Mrs. Maggie Johnson, 81, of the Town of Lynn, who died in Neillsville Friday.  The Rev. Lloyd Mauer of Neillsville, pastor of the area Methodist church, officiated.  Burial was made in the Lynn Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Johnson was born in the Town of Grant on September 23, 1880.  She received her education in the townships schools and attended Neillsville High School.  She taught school for several years before her marriage to Oscar Johnson in 1902. She had resided on a farm in the Town of Lynn for the last 44 years.

 

Mrs. Johnson is survived by two sons, Harvey of the Town of Lynn, and Willard of Marshfield; a daughter, Mrs. Hubert H. (Nellie) Quicker, Neillsville; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.  Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Willard (Martha) Gerhardt of Neillsville; and Mrs. Elsie Brossard, who lives in California.
