Worchel, Mildred (27 November 1923 - 16 August 1962)

 

Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon from the Immanuel Lutheran church in Globe for Mrs. Louis Worchel, 38, Rt. 3, Neillsville, who died Thursday in Memorial Hospital from an illness of four years duration. The Rev. J. G. Ruege officiated and burial was made in the parish cemetery.

 

Mrs. Worchel, the former Mildred Schmidt, was born November 27, 1923, to William F. and Elda (Hackbarth) Schmidt, in Oakfield and also attended schools in that area.  On completion of her schooling she worked in Owen and on June 26, 1943, she was married to Louis Worchel in Globe. The Globe area had been her residence since that time.

 

Mrs. Worchel is survived by her husband, two daughters, Miss Lorraine Worchel, Milwaukee, and Miss Joan Worchel, at home; her mother, Mrs. Elda Schmidt, and her grandmother, Mrs. Bertha Hackbarth, both of Oakfield.  Three sisters and a brother also survive.  They are Lorena Schmidt, USN, Arlington, VA.; Mrs. Richard (Marcella) Sauer, and Mrs. Donald (Mabel) Brink, and Marvin Schmidt, all of Oakfield.

 

Funeral arrangements were made by the Georgas Funeral Home.

 

Pallbearers were Harold Thoma, Clarence Wegner, Robert Ladd, Henry Thoma and Norman Poppe.
