Johnson, Aaron T. #2 (10 DEC 1866 - 1 JAN 1945)

A congregation of neighbors and friends gathered at the Methodist Church last Friday afternoon for the last rites Aaron Johnson, a longtime resident of the town of Cleveland.  The Rev. R.W. Sachtjen officiated at the service, using as a text for his discourse I Cor. 15:12: "Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?"  Musical numbers were by Mrs. Walter Smith and Mrs. W.E. Waters, with Miss Edith Simons accompanist.  The hymns sung were "Sweet Bye and Bye," "Home of the Soul," and "Rock of Ages."  A fine array of beautiful flowers were placed about the casket, the kind remembrances of relatives and friends.  Pallbearers were Arnold Holman, Edwin Holman, Leonard Watson, Theo. Scholze, Ed Tande, and Ed Eisberner.  Relatives from away were a niece, Miss Emily Johnson of Chicago; and two nephews and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Willman of Hudson, and Mr. and Mrs. Chester A. Willman of Minneapolis; and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Christianson of Arpin.  Burial was in Mentor Cemetery.
