Evanson, Stanley (4 May 1910 - 9 July 1962)

 

Stanley Evanson, 52, died Monday in Detroit Lakes, Minn., where he had been in business for the past 12 years. Funeral services are being held today (Thursday) in Detroit Lakes.

 

Mr. Evanson is survived by his wife; two daughters; his parents; Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Evanson; a sister, Mrs. Arne (Agnes) Matheson, Neillsville; two brothers, Orville Evanson, Neillsville, and Roland Evanson, Mosinee.

Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Evanson attended the funeral of their son, Stanley, 52, in Detroit Lakes, Minn., Friday.  Mrs. Arne Matheson and Sherri, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Evanson and family of Neillsville, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Evanson and family of Mosinee joined with hundreds of friends in the service which was held in First Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes.  Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Detroit Lakes.

 

Stanley Evanson was born in St. Paul, May 4, 1910.  He was graduated from Greenwood High School in 1928 and was married to Ena L. Fladmark June 20, 1937.  They lived many years in the west and he was operator of a trailer business in Detroit Lakes the past 12 years.

 

He was a member of the Lutheran Church, Elks, Eagles, and Masonic Lodges, and an active member of the Sportsmen’s Club in his home county.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  His death came without warning, as he had not been ill.

 

He leaves his wife; one son, Duane, of Fargo, N. D.; two daughter: Carolyn at home, and Mrs. LaDonna Kneitzer of Oscoda, Mich.; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Evanson of Neillsville; two brothers, Orville of Neillsville and Roland of Mosinee; one sister, Mrs. Arne (Agnes) Matheson of Neillsville; and several grandchildren.
