Huber, James J. (6 DEC 1947 - 11 JUN 2011)

 


SPENCER -- James J. Huber, 63, of Spencer, died Saturday, June 11, 2011, at the emergency room at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.


Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2011, at Rembs Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Krueger officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery with Rick, Pat, James and Jason Huber, Roger Eilers and Denny Hansen serving as pallbearers.


Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Rembs Funeral Home and again on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of the services.


Jim was born Dec. 6, 1947, to Francis and Marie (Skochil) Huber in Rhinelander. He was married to his best friend, Susan K. Ress, on July 9, 1994, in Spencer for 17 years. They had been together for 34 years as friends.


Jim retired from Lynn Dairy as a semi-truck driver. His brother-in-law, William Ress Jr., was a truck driver also and had many stories to tell each other. He had a special bond with his son Brandon while working on his diesel truck and Chad and Cory while helping them on the farm.


Jim was a very caring and generous man. He never refused to help anyone out when asked. He loved going gambling with his father-in-law, William Ress Sr., and deer hunting. He will be sadly missed by his dog, Diamond.


He is survived by his wife, Susan; children, Jamie (Eric) Ristey, James Huber Jr. and Jason Huber, all of West Salem, and Brandon Huber of Spencer; five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alexandra and Madeline Ristey, Dominic and Trent Huber. Jim is further survived by his siblings, Donna (Everet) Cole of Crandon, Robert Huber of Rhinelander, William (Jenny) Huber of Rhinelander, Gene (Sharon) Huber of Sugar Camp, Richard (Tracy) Huber of Crandon and Patrick (Amy) Huber of Rhinelander; and his mother-in-law, Betty Ress of Spencer.


Besides his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Huber; sister, Terri Tuchalski; sister-in-law, Linda Huber; a brother-in-law, Steve Tuchalski; sister-in-law, Tammy Ress; and his father-in-law, William Ress Sr.
