Kauffman, Frank (9 July 1872 - 14 June 1962)

 

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville for Frank Kauffman, 89, formerly of Neillsville, who died Thursday at the Havenett Nursing Home in Owen. The Rev. Norman Lindloff officiated and burial was made in the Town of Grant Cemetery.

 

Mr. Kauffman was born July 9, 1872, in Germany and at the age of nine came with his parents to the United States.  They located on a farm in the Town of Grant and after the death of his parents, the late Christian and Augusta (Lautenbach) Kauffman, he continued to farm there, later moving to Neillsville.  He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Olga Hall, Shreveport, Ia.; and the following nieces and nephews: Ernest Crossett, Marshfield; Mrs. H. P. (Frances) Young, La Crosse; Eugene Worchel, Green Lake; Carl Buddinger, Neillsville; Bernice Buddinger, Ellsworth; Mrs. Maria Bollwahn, South Haven, Mich. and Mrs. Tony (Beatrice Walter, Loyal.

 

Deceased members of his family are: his parents and two sisters.

 

Funeral arrangements were made by the Georgas Funeral Home.

 

Mr. Kauffman was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville.

 

Pallbearers were John Brandt, Ben Dux, Carl Bartz, Ed Stelloh, Charles Schroeder and Edward Greeler. Two hymns, "The Twenty-Third Psalm" and Nearer My God to Thee," were sung by Robert Mitte accompanied by Paul Bartell.

 

Here for the service were: Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Crossett, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Buddinger, Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Tony Walter, Loyal; and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Worchel, Green Lake.
