Kapfer, Nellie (19 November 1882 - 19 June 1962)

 

Mrs. Nellie Kapfer, 79, Loyal, formerly of Neillsville, died Monday at the Clark County Hospital in Owen. Funeral services are being held this afternoon (Thursday) at 2 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home.  The Rev. Paul Doering of the Loyal Methodist Church will officiate; burial will be made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Kapfer was born November 19, 1882 in Ohio and her family moved to Missouri when she was a small child. She received her education in Missouri and taught school there for several hears.  In March 1903, she was married to the late Christian Kapfer, who died in 1931.  They came to Clark County in 1910 and farmed on River Road in the Town of Pine Valley until the death of Mr. Kapfer.  Mrs. Kapfer had made her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Timmler near Loyal or the past several years until she was taken to the hospital.  She was a member of the Neillsville Methodist Church.

 

Surviving are the following children: Elmer Kapfer, Rt. 2 Granton; Albert Kapfer, West Bend; Lee Kapfer, Rockford, Ill.; and Mrs. Ed (Mildred) Timmler, Loyal. Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Wilber (Dora) Murphy, St. Charles, Ia.; Mrs. Roy (Minnie) Lepper, Dayton, Ky.; two brothers, Harvey Wagner, Kokha, Mo.; Albert Wagner, San Louis Obispo, Cal. Thirteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren also survive.
