Fijalkiewicz, Emily (Receives Diploma - 1962)

A Town of Warner mother of four children was graduated from Taylor county teachers college in Medford Sunday. She is Mrs. Emily (Rohland) Fijalkiewicz, a native of Withee, who will teach the Rocky Run School, five miles from her home, next fall.  Her husband, George is a rural mail carrier in Greenwood.

Mrs. Fijalkiewicz is inclined to belittle her accomplishment.  "I don’t think it’s so much," she told the Clark County Press.  "I just always wanted to go on to school and finally I did it.  I have a contract to teach right near home, and I couldn’t be happier about it."

Mrs. Fijalkiewicz plans to attend Stevens Point College this summer and to continue her studies until she receives a Bachelor’s Degree. The Fijalkiewicz’s have four children: Carolyn, a sophomore next year in Greenwood High School; Mary, sixth grade; Jerry, fourth grade; and John, second grade.

Other Clark County students graduating from the Medford College Sunday are Carolyn Doege of Thorp, Janet Krei of Greenwood and Tim Carlson of Withee.
