North Grant (23 Apr 1914)

Alma Pischer’s friends are glad to learn that she is recovering so rapidly from the operation of last week.

Herman Gluck was caught in the rain coming from Neillsville Saturday with a load of furniture for his new house.

Lawyer G. Jacques made two professional calls in this neighborhood Saturday.

Wm. Dahlke is still seriously ill and is under the care of Dr. Rath.

Mrs. Eliza Kier is again at home after having assisted Mrs. Pischer with the work during Alma’s illness.

Last Friday evening about 20 of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Vine’s relatives and close friends gave them a surprise in celebration of their 13th wedding anniversary.  A jolly time was enjoyed.

Ed. Williams is reported quite ill.
