Laurel Hart of Neillsville was a recent visitor with friends here.

 

A.E. Chase went to Milwaukee Monday for physical examination for army service.  He passed the examination all okay, and expects to be inducted with the June contingent from Rusk County.  Mr. Chase also visited his wife at the hospital during Easter school recess, and found here very much improved in health.

 

Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Tritsch spent Sunday with relatives and friends at Alma.

 

Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Johnson and son Delmond, and grandson Delton Jolivette, of Greenwood, were recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Art Johnson.

 

Mr. and Mrs. John Diffor and baby son of Randolph came last Friday for an over Sunday visit with Mrs. Diffor’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.W. Short.  On Easter, all all went to Eau Claire to spend the day at the Donald Sherwood home.  Mr. Diffor and family returned to Randolph Monday.

 

Walter Smith and family went to Marshfield last Thursday afternoon for a couple of days stay at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Virgil Denk.  They spent Sunday at Mondovi with Mr. and Mrs. G.N. Crandell.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bleiler were at Monroe Easter Sunday visiting with relatives.

 

Mrs. M. Kretschmer was taken to the Krohn Hospital the last of the week for treatment for a form of eczema.  Owing to the nature of the infection she remains in bed most of the time.  All friends are hoping for an early recovery.

 

J.A. Johnson and wife went to Menomonie Tuesday of last week for a short visit at the home of his sister, Mrs. T.M. Curran.

 

H.M. Boullion and wife finished moving her household goods to their new home in this village this Thursday.
