The nuptial vows of Miss Marlene Joiner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Joiner of Marshfield and Gary Rothammer of Loyal, were pledged at a double ring ceremony in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at 9 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. N. E. King was officiant.

 

A gown of lace and net over bridal satin was worn by the bride. Her finger-tip-length veil was trimmed in a floral design of pearls. A cascade of lilies and roses composed her bouquet.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Domine, Janesville, brother-in-law and sister of the groom served respectively as best man and matron of honor and the duties of groomsman  and bridesmaid were performed by Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Lau, Marshfield, brother –in-law and sister of the bride.

 

Mrs. Domine wore a pastel shade of yellow and Mrs. Lau wore a pastel shade of blue with hats repeating the color of the dresses and each carried white carnations and carnations matching the color of her dress in a cascade arrangement. Kathy Sauer, Marshfield, cousin of the bridegroom was flower girl. Another cousin, Stevie Danen, Stetsonville was ring bearer. Dennis Rothamer and John Joiner, brothers of the bridal pair were ushers.

 

A dinner was served in the church dining room and a reception followed at the home of the bridegroom.

 

Guests were from Arpin, Milladore, Battle Creek, Michigan, Chicago, Kenosha, Auburndale, Buffalo, New York, Hawaii, Medford, Janesville, Stetsonville, Neillsville, Richfield and Colby.

 

The groom attended the Loyal High School and is now serving with the U.S. Army. The bride received her education in Marshfield. They will make their home in Granite City, Illinois, following a honeymoon in St. Louis, Missouri.
