Herman Mueller and wife of Madison, were visitors at the home of his brother George last weekend.

Mrs. Mary Babler returned Tuesday evening from Chicago, where she spent some time visiting her son Ellsworth and wife, and also her sons Melvin and Bernard.  The three have employment in very good positions.

Our last windstorm twisted a large branch off a tree at the home of Miss Simons, and in falling the limb puncture the roof of the garage.

Frank and Jake Repplinger recently completed a new chimney on the Russell house, that Frank reports that is the best one in the village.  He capped it over like the old-time bricklayers did to prevent smoke blowing down the chimney.

Reported that W.C. Flood has rented his services station to Herb Giloy for the coming months.  Mr. Flood expects to enjoy a vacation for a while from the long hours of station service.

Miss Edith Simons had the misfortune to fall last Saturday evening and fracture a bone in one of her ankles.  She is able to be about the house, but the injury has been very painful.

J.C. Johnson, who has been ill with a flu attack which developed into a case of pneumonia, is reported much better and will be able to leave his bed soon.

Rev. G. W. Vaughan of Mazomainia, and his son-in-law, Robert Joos of Madison, were in the village last Sunday morning.
