Strohkirch, Judith (13 AUG 1960)

St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church at Milwaukee was the setting for the wedding of Miss Judith Strokirch and Thomas Frelka, Saturday, Aug. 13, 1960.

Mount Senior Clark had the 11:00 o’clock Mass for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Strohkirch, Owen (Clark County, Wis.), and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Frelka of Milwaukee.  Mr. Strohkirch escorted his daughter.

A bouquet of white carnations, red roses and lace streamers was carried by the bride as she appeared in a traditional bridal gown of hand clipped rose point lace and sheer nylon over white satin in floor length.  The fitted bodice of lace cut to a V at the center of the waistline was styled with a scalloped Sabrina neckline tapering to a V in the back and featured long tapered sleeves.  The skirt was sheer nylon tulle over white satin.  Her fingertip veil was caught to a crown of pearls.

The groom’s cousin, Miss Dorothy Wiza, served the bride as maid of honor.  The bride’s two sisters, Joan and Elaine Strohkirch of Milwaukee, were bridesmaids.  Pink carnations carried by the bridal aids matched the color of their dresses and were centered with red roses.

James Frelka, the groom’s brother, was best man.  Richard Walinski and Jerome Strohkirch served as groomsmen.

Ushering duties were performed by Kenneth Strohkirch and Dennis Frelka.

The breakfast and dinner were held at LeGenes Hall in Milwaukee.  An evening dance followed.

The bride graduated from Owen High School and the groom from Don Bosco All Boys School in Milwaukee.

The bride is employed at Plankton Pkg. Co. and the groom is employed at National Savings and Loan at Milwaukee.
