Bruny, Kid (boxing defeat - 26 Feb 1914)

Kid Bruny, who was one of the scrappers in a boxing show at Eau Claire Thursday night, was given the following comment by the Telegram of that city:

The semi-windup between the much touted Kid Bruny of Winnipeg and Battling Johnson of Washburn was the only disappointment of the evening.  Johnson let loose a couple in the first round that brought out the yellow in the lad Bruny.  Twice in quick succession did the kid thump the floor and when the second round opened all ideas of fight had left him.  It was a clean case of laydown.  He took the count before being even fairly hit.
