Snyder, Ora Belle  (15 JUL 1880-02 FEB 1956)

 

Ora Belle Snyder, 75, passed away at a hospital in Eugene, Oregon on February 2 of a heart attack. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 9 at 2 p.m. at the Veefkind church with Rev. Milford Gilbert officiating. The body will lie in state at the Gilbertson Funeral Home at Granton beginning Wednesday afternoon.

 

Mrs. Snyder was born July 5, 1880 at Bloom City, Richland county and on Aug. 30, 1900 was united in marriage to Grant Snyder at Bloom City. She attended Richland county school and in the year 1908 came to Clark county and settled on a farm in the town of Fremont where they live for 33 years. After retiring from the farm they moved to San Diego, Calif. After the death of her husband in 1954, Ora Snyder kept house for her son in Eugene, Oregon.

 

Surviving her are the following children: Mrs. Art (Beatrice) Falk, Chula Vista, California; Mrs. Harley (Hope) Renne, Riverside, California; Mrs. Ross (Innis) Stevens, Spencer; Mrs. William (Hazel) Rohloff, Spencer; Mrs. James (Hulda) Gilbert, Corning, California; Mrs. Harold (Ruth) Schlinsog, Granton; Paul and Don of Springfield, Oregon and Vera of Eugene, Oregon. Nineteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive.

 

Mrs. Snyder was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and tree brothers.
