Anderson, Ole (6 APR 1885 - 4 JAN 1960)

Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 7 for Ole Anderson, a resident of the Village of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) for 53 years.  Services were conducted from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home, Owen, with Rev. James Stone, pastor of the Alliance Church, Owen, officiating.  Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were John Blunck Sr., John Roohr, Arne Holpanen, Ed Linjer, Car Andreasen and Felix Dietsch.  Carrying the floral offerings were Mrs. William Weinberger, Mrs. R. Gehrke, Mrs. Nobert Bruchert and Mrs. Theresa Auberg.

Ole Anderson’s death was sudden, as he succumbed to a heart attack which he suffered late Monday evening, Jan. 4, 1960, while at his home.  He had attained the age of 74 years and 9 months, being born April 6, 1885, at La Crosse, Wis.  He came to Withee in 1907, first being engaged in the lumber industry and later becoming an employee of the Soo Line railway, serving as a member of the section crew.  He retired about five years ago from this position.

In 1917 he was united in marriage to the former Bessie Ryan in a ceremony performed in Owen.  Mourning his sudden death are his wife; four sons, William and Leonard of Flint, Mich., and Aaron and Myron of Withee; one daughter, Mrs. William (Lucy) Kivviko, Spencer; five sisters, Mrs. Hilda Pedersen, Owen, Mrs. Bertha Auberg, Withee, Mrs. Ruth Andrews and Mrs. Julia Hansen, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Alice Englehart, West Allis, and three brothers, Ed and Milton, Withee, and Elmer of Owen.
