Ewert, Norman (Honors - MAY 1959)
Norman Ewert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Art Ewert of rural Colby (Clark Co., Wis.), has received the mark of distinction at the University of Wisconsin.
A letter which was recent received by Mr. and Mrs. Ewert from the College of Engineering office of the dean read as follows:
"On behalf of the faculty of the College of Engineering it is a pleasure to inform you that the fine scholastic record maintained by your son Norman is to be significantly recognized. As a mark of distinction his name will be listed on the convocation program among those to be honored at the Twenty First All University Honors Convocation. The purpose of the convocation is to honor those who graduate from the University of Wisconsin with outstanding scholastic records.
We are certain that parents wish to join us in recognizing and congratulating these students on the fine achievements.
Kurt F. Wend, Dean
(Norman received his grad school education at the Atwood School. Immediately after he graduated from the Colby High School in the year of 1953 he entered the service, in which he served for two years. He had been assigned in an overseas unit being stationed at Austria and Germany.)
